Bus Stop Ice Cream Shop in Taos, NM

I first began creating the Taos Ice cream bus in the summer of 2000. I bought a 1986 4 wheel drive short bus because I needed to start a business where my children could be with me. Then I painted the new Ice Cream Bus with exterior latex based paint, in rainbowey fun Ice Cream Bus decor. I equipped the bus with deep cycle batteries and then began to drive around the back roads of Taos, delivering ice cream to all of the children.

When gas prices started to really climb, a few years ago, I began parking at the Taos Gorge Bridge selling ice cream bars, soda pop and water. I have been working all the time, one step at a time, to build up my bus to commercial grade.

I have obtained an official business license and food establishment permit and now you might see me selling in different locations in and around Taos. Such as Super Save parking lot, Gorge Bridge, Kit Carson Park, Taos Plaza, and local events such as biker rally, festivals, ball games, arts and crafts fairs, etc.

I have milkshakes, variety of ice cream cones, fresh fruit smoothies, snow cone slushies, floats and malts. Keep an eye out for the upcoming special ice cream bus ice cream brands and espresso coffee!

The newest addition to my ice cream bus fleet is a 1989 bluebird full sized diesel school bus, fully equipped with a roof rack for storing veggie oil. Click here for more info.

My final goal is to be a completely self-sustaining mobile business with solar and wind power in the kitchen and hydrogen and bio fuel as a gas and diesel alternative.
